User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Great book for green or soon to be green moms
I loved the book and Dr. Greene’s recommendations. He doesn’t force things on you but gives you many options to choose from.

5 Stars Earthy-friendly AND kid-friendly
My kids are now 30 and 33, and when they were growing up, I never worried much about the origins of the foods they ate, the clothes they wore or the furnishings in our house. But now I see how much better my granddaughter’s eczema is when she wears organic clothes washed in an earth-friendly detergent, or eats certain foods instead of others - and I realize how important these issues can be for young families.

Dr. Greene has done a wonderful job of explaining all the issues and context for making earth-friendly (and, more importantly, kid-friendly) choices. What I especially like is that he isn’t shy about naming specific brands and products. I sent this book to my daughter the minute I read it, because I was sure she’d appreciate all the good suggestions that would save her time searching all over town or all over the net for the best products to keep my grandkids healthy.

5 Stars full of info
i think i highlighted the whole book:) it is full of information, some are very scary especially since i lve in the middle east and we don;t have many options here to go green. i have to order bpa free baby bottles and chemical free shampoos from amazon and it ends up very expensive, but i think well worth it in the end.

its one of those books that you have to keep next to you to study.

a great read

5 Stars A fabulous guide for parents: current and to be
I had the honor of meeting Dr. Greene at a conference recently and he is every bit as much as you imagine him when you read his book: a down-to-earth guy, married with a lovely lady (Mrs. Greene), with a crystal clear vision of the important things in this world.

In this book, he is capturing his philosophy about how to prepare for the coming of a baby and raise him/her green, i.e. in the most sustainable way possible. A book like this one is perfectly aligned with the present times, when a growing number of people seem to have finally realized that being environmentally conscious is not just for “tree huggers” nor is it some hippie, utopian notion. It is everyone’s job and Dr. Greene reminds us in this title the important role that parents have in this too.

While reading the book, not only does it become clear the impact you can have on the environment by raising your baby green. You also realize how your food and product choices affect your very own health down the road… so Raise Baby Green with Dr. Green!

5 Stars This book is a must read for all moms to be!
This book is very interesting. It has been the best book regarding earth friendly pregnancies that I have read so far. It explains small things you can do to make a difference or if you’re financially capable it tells you how to overhaul your shopping habits by buying only earth friendly products. I found several things I can afford to change.
