The Secret Language of Birthdays: Personology Profiles for Each Day of the Year
The Secret Language of Birthdays: Personology Profiles for Each Day of the Year

Sure, it’s neat to know which famous people have the same birthday you do, but wouldn’t it be fascinating to know what else you have in common with these celebrities? The Secret Language of Birthdays will show you this and much more. Through “personology” (a combination of characteristics influenced by sun sign, season, and day of the year) and an analysis of several thousand character profiles, authors Gary Goldschneider and Joost Elfers have pinned down the traits most common to people born on the same day.
Rather than taking a strictly astrological approach–how the planets, sun, and stars affect a person’s behavior–the authors compare the commonalties of people who share birthdays, and piece together a personality for each day of the year, effectively slicing through geographical and cultural differences, while avoiding the one-size-fits-all trap of newspaper sun-sign horoscopes. Some readers may find the authors’ strict use of the Gregorian calendar limiting, but conversion to other time-keeping systems is fairly simple (the authors make note of this problem and contend that a day is a day, whether someone names it October 21 or 1 Rajab). Goldschneider and Elfers focus on a model of the year as a wheel spinning in a recurring circle of patterns, an idea that reaches back far beyond the linear calendars we use today. Each birthday discussed includes important numbers, tarot cards, and a dose of psychology, so while you learn a little about the other people with your birthday, you may even discover something new about yourself. –Brian PattersonOffering a two-page spread on every day of the year, a one-of-a-kind combination of astrology and numerology presents an abundance of information, including personality profiles, illustrations, meditation suggestions, and more for each day. 20,000 first printing.

5 Stars Pretty accurate, a book worth having!
I have had this book for more than 3 years now - I must admit there is some truth to it. The Personology profiles given for a date seem to usually match with the personalities and characteristics of a person. Sounds difficult to believe since I am a person with knowledge of Indian Astrology (called Jyotish or Vedic Astrology) and rely on accurate birth time (to the exact minute if possible, so I can’t figure out how this can work without time of birth consideration, but it does. Just last week I pulled out the book and read aloud the profiles of family members (sister, brother, Brother-in-law etc) and all of them agreed it was quite on the mark. My sister’s is Jan 27 - “The day of Precocity”, absolutely true. She has always been a genius academically and otherwise. It is accurate to the extent of at least 60-70% in every case. Of course one must not expect it to be perfect since they are generalizations and common traits of a person born on that particular date. And coming to my own birth date it was again on the mark - A nice fun and interesting book. Buy it.
4 Stars Nice to read a book
that doesn’t go into great detail about how flawed we have been since birth and if we don’t do certain things on certain days in certain places, we’re all going to burn in this terrible place forever.
For those who “believed” in this book to the point where they lost their jobs, houses, and everything else, that’s their problem that they want to believe everything they read (I’ve also known people of questionable character and motives who believe everything the bible says word for word and then have the nerve to go around judging people who don’t meet their standards - losing their jobs, houses, etc. in the process - and I don’t see anyone complaining about that).
It’s a fun book to have around and I love hearing the half-cocked explanations as to how a complete stranger can pick up the stronger points of your personality just by looking at your birthdate.
No one astrology book contains the whole truth. This book is meant to attempt to explain what you *may* be like, personality-wise.
Lighten up.
5 Stars Absolutely Wonderful
I am certaintly not one of those ‘believers’ who follows such things as horoscopes and tarot readings (call me a skeptic, if you will) but this book is certaintly amazing. Its in-depth personality descriptions are far from the run-of-the-mill, one size suits all descriptions. There is nothing more entertaining than flipping through this book and reading the birth dates of all your friends. I have yet to find an inaccurate birthday and have yet to tire of reading this magnificent book.
5 Stars An Eye Opening Experience
This book is a must-have! It’s a great conversation piece for get togethers. When I read my birthday I was amazed at how the analogy applied to me. I bring it to work once or twice a year for people to read about themselves, their children, spouses, etc. Most are awed at the accurate depiction illustrated of themselves or loved ones born on a certain day. The only people that have picked up my book and denied the accuracy of what the book depicted were people whose personalities were negative. When I read their birthday personality I felt the book was right on about them. It described their negative and maybe vindictive personality which I saw in these people. The negative/pessimistic personalities that read about themselves denied any truth to what they read because they don’t want to accept who they are. I have read numerous birthday personalities for my spouse, my children, relatives, friends and acquaintances and found this book to be very accurate. I feel it’s a must-have. You should know what YOU are capable of and know more about the people in your life. This book is very accurate in my opinion!
4 Stars SO ACCURATE…IT’S SCARY
I’ve owned this book for about 13 years. Picked it up in my tax preparer’s office. Could not believe the accuracy.
If you want to know what makes the candidates “tick”…..
The date of August 4th will make your toes curl.
